AT&T, Rogers Sign LTE Roaming Deal

A new deal between AT&T and Canada’s Rogers Communications is the first to give U.S. customers international LTE roaming.

AT&T customers with LTE-compatible smartphones will be able to surf the Web, download apps and upload content at 4G speeds north of the border. About 42 percent of Ma Bell’s wireless customers have LTE handsets, the carrier said.

You’ll need to select from one of three add-on packages to take advantage of the service and they’re not cheap. 120MB will set you back $30 per month. It’s $60 per month for 300MB and $120 for 800MB. So use your data wisely if travelling to Canada.
