Cloud and hosting provider Internap Network Services Corp. is buying rival iWeb in a deal valued at about $145 million.

iWeb, based in Montreal, Canada, serves 10,000 SMBs in more than 100 countries and employs 200 people. Internap said the combination of the two companies will create a top-five, pure-play IT infrastructure provider bringing in more than $320 million in revenue. Internap expands its geographic reach as a result of the deal and doubles the size of its IaaS R&D resources, since both organizations are active in the OpenStack Foundation.

The transaction is expected to close in December.
