PAETECs Debut of Visual Messaging Marks Foray Into Mobility

PAETEC on Tuesday jumped into the mobile telecom space as a result of its purchase earlier this year of Visual Messaging creator Iperia.

The impact for PAETEC agents remained unclear but the company told Channel Partners there is a definite partner play. More information was to come on Wednesday.

PAETECs debut of Visual Messaging is interesting. Indeed, the services launch under PAETECs name opens the door to a new area of possibilities for the company,” a spokesman told Channel Partners. That should bode well for agents as mobility becomes an even more important aspect of communications sales.

Visual Messaging works with the Android, Apple and BlackBerry platforms, and provides visual voice mail, and consolidates office and mobile voice mails.

Too often, officer workers have an office voicemail, mobile phone voicemail and corporate email box, each with a different device to retrieve the messages,” John Chapman, PAETECs marketing chief, explained. Our Visual Messaging collapses that into a single platform and makes receiving messages as quick and intuitive as email.”

Visual Messaging software integrates with enterprise systems from companies including Cisco, Nortel and Avaya, and also can be hosted by PAETEC in the cloud.
