PlanetOne Entices Shapiro Out of Retirement to Become Operations VP

PlanetOne has hired Lauren M. Shapiro out of retirement to serve as the master agencys new vice president of operations.

Shapiro has known Ted Schuman, PlanetOnes founder and president, for most of her 25 years in telecom at companies including Cable & Wireless USA and Internap Network Services. Shapiro spent that time in channel roles before retiring. Shell return to the channel on Dec. 1, responsible for managing and leading PlanetOnes growth strategy.

“I needed someone I could trust, that knows the channel inside and out, leads by example and that is enormously respected throughout the industry,” Schuman said in a press release. “We easily got all that and more with Lauren.”

Shapiro most recently worked as senior manager of channel sales for Internap, a colocation and hosting firm.
