Clearwire CEO: We Need Reseller Partners

Fresh of its announcement that it will expand WiMAX service to seven more U.S. cities, Clearwire is calling for more partners to help sell it.

CEO Bill Morrow told Business Week that the company is talking with consumer-electronics makers, retailers and other partners for the purpose of reselling. He hopes to announce the providers in the months ahead.

There are plenty of people to sell to. The service will be up and running in Los Angeles, St. Louis, Cleveland and more by the end of the year, reaching a total of 120 million people. Although he didn’t mention who he’s talked with, Morrow told Bloomberg that the CTIA Wireless show this week in Las Vegas was a good opportunity to find potential resellers.
