AT&T Upgrades Network-Based Firewalls for Business

New security upgrades from AT&T are intended to improve the company’s network-based firewall service.

The new features allow businesses to scan IM apps for viruses. Also included are Internet policy controls and expanded URL filtering. In addition, the upgrade will scan FTP and HTTP content for spyware and malware, as well as viruses.

AT&T’s firewalls are constantly monitored from the company’s Security Network Operations Center.
