ConferencePlus Debuts EventManager

ConferencePlus Inc. (Booth 231), a provider of audio, Web and video conferencing services, is demonstrating its new EventManager at the CompTel/ASCENT Spring 2005 Convention & Expo this week.

An addition to the companys ConferenceManager service, EventManager is a Web-based tool to make audio conferencing more productive and easier to manage, the company says. EventManager features include online registration via a customizable Web page; online tools for real-time management of Q&A and polling sessions; automated participant entry into an operator-managed event; and online reports.

ConferencePlus is offering companies a $100 credit on their first EventManager call of $500 or more until Mar. 31, 2005.

Based on feedback from our clients, we developed EventManager as yet another innovative Web tool to meet their specific global conferencing needs, says Ken Velten, senior vice president of marketing for ConferencePlus. By providing our clients with real-time data and conference management tools, we enable them to more efficiently and effectively communicate with their constituents.

EventManager requires participants to register online before the audio conference. A customizable Web page lets companies gather information from each participant, as specified by the event arranger. After registering, participants receive dial-in numbers, a passcode, and a PIN that is used to identify their presence and allow them into the audio conference automatically. This information is conveyed in real time to the host through the ViewPlus online conference management tool, and lets the host identify all the participants on the conference and manage participants in the queue for a Q&A session.

EventManager also includes enhancements to the ConferencePlus MyAccount Dashboard and ViewPlus. Users directly access their MyAccount Dashboard by logging into their accounts through the ConferencePlus Web site. From MyAccount Dashboard, the host can monitor the participant registration process and responses in real time and also launch the ViewPlus conference management tool.

Because the Internet is constantly changing the way companies communicate and how people manage their business relationships, ConferencePlus plans to continue to invest in new Web-based technologies to upgrade our features and functionality to provide the highest quality conferencing experience possible, Velten says.
